Question for all our Readers - Why Do You Think Centrist Political Movements Fail?

So every now and again, I want to ask readers for some of their thoughts and questions.  And now, since I have >checked dashboard< nearly 10 readers, I thought I might do this.  You can answer and discuss in the comments, or email me at parallel.republic@gmail.com and I really do hope to hear from you. 

With that said, I want to write a long read in the coming weeks putting together my thoughts on centrist political movements, and what I think they tend to miss and how I think they could win in the short, medium, and long term.  But, I am curious about your thoughts on this question or  what you hear  from others on these issues.  You can easily roll this in with concerns about third parties generally, but I am particularly interested in your thoughts on moderate political movements.
